Implementation of resources at a district level, both in terms of pedagogy (teacher training and content) and physical resources (hardware, storage and logistics), is a key component of any district technology project. This year, in partnership with SparkFun Electronics, Beaverton School District rolled out a plan to put programmable hardware into the hands of students in 4th through 7th grades. That hardware consisted of two different tool kits built up around the micro:bit. Come and learn about the design of the project, Beaverton's goals for the rollout, how they forged a unique partnership with SparkFun to make their vision happen and discuss what a similar implementation could look like in your district.
